Google Strategic Project (via Accenture)

PROJECT SUMMARY

Following consistently strong performance as a vSPM on the YouTube Partner Manager Program, I was selected by Google to join a global strategic initiative reserved for experienced, high-performing vSPMs across multiple vendors.

The project's objective was to evaluate high-value YouTube creators and determine whether they met the criteria to join the YouTube Partner Manager Program. This involved analysing channel performance, reviewing a wide range of business and platform metrics, and making data-driven decisions that directly influenced programme eligibility.

I ranked as the 2nd highest-performing vSPM worldwide, based on both the volume of channels analysed and quality scores, demonstrating accuracy, analytical thinking and the ability to make consistent decisions at scale.

THE CHALLENGE

The project required balancing speed and accuracy while reviewing large volumes of complex creator accounts. Every decision needed to be supported by data and aligned with Google's programme guidelines, as inaccurate assessments could directly affect creators' eligibility for the YouTube Partner Manager Program. At the same time, the project operated in a fast-paced environment with evolving policies and strict quality expectations, requiring continuous learning, attention to detail and consistent decision-making.

MY ROLE

As part of Google's Strategic Project, I was responsible for analysing high-value YouTube channels and determining whether they qualified for inclusion in the YouTube Partner Manager Program. This involved reviewing multiple channel metrics, validating eligibility against programme requirements, identifying potential risks or exceptions, and ensuring every assessment met Google's quality standards. I was also expected to maintain high productivity without compromising accuracy.

MY APPROACH

To maintain both speed and consistency, I developed a structured evaluation process that ensured every account was assessed against the same criteria while still considering the unique characteristics of each creator. Rather than relying solely on individual metrics, I reviewed each channel holistically, combining quantitative data with programme guidelines to reach well-supported decisions. I also maintained detailed personal notes on recurring scenarios and policy updates, allowing me to improve consistency and adapt quickly as requirements evolved.

My focus was always on delivering reliable decisions that balanced efficiency with quality.

THE OUTCOME

- Ranked 2nd highest-performing vSPM worldwide across participating vendors.
- Achieved outstanding quality while maintaining one of the highest review volumes globally.
- Built expertise in interpreting complex datasets and applying policy consistently at scale.
- Recognised for strong analytical performance, leading to an invitation to join the Quality Assurance team.

IF I WERE DOING THIS TODAY...

I would also create a centralised knowledge base with examples of uncommon scenarios and decision frameworks. This would make onboarding faster, improve consistency across reviewers and reduce the time spent interpreting new or ambiguous cases.

Most importantly, I learned that large-scale operational excellence is built on disciplined processes, continuous learning and the ability to make accurate decisions under pressure. Those principles continue to shape how I approach every project today.
